Taylor Swift to Pay $30 Million for Security on 'Eras Tour,' Deemed Most Expensive in 'European Hist
Taylor Swift could potentially make over $4 billion from “The Eras Tour,” with each stop on the tour earning her millions. Each concert along the tour is over three hours long, with the show featuring over 44 songs. The fans are certainly getting their money’s worth, and Swift is paying top dollar to ensure she has the best possible security for each concert. Here’s how much she’s paying for the security on her tour.
Taylor Swift is paying $30 million for security on ‘The Eras Tour’
Tickets for Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” aren’t cheap, as fans are paying hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars to see the pop star perform for over three hours per concert. While Swift earns much money from the tour, much of the cash flow goes toward her intense and expensive security. A consultant for “The Eras Tour” told The Sun that Swift’s security has to be “perfect,” and she’s willing to pay the price.
“She is the biggest superstar on the planet,” the insider said. “So security has to be perfect for her and the entourage.”
The source added that Swift hired 20 people considered “the absolute best at their jobs” to care for her and the rest of the team as they venture through Europe for 51 concerts. Each security personnel is paid $1,100 per day for 100 days of the tour. Additional costs include security camera rentals, walkie-talkies, clothing, monitors, and associated travel costs. “The Eras Tour” costs around $30 million just for security.
The industry expert stated that Swift’s tour is the “most expensive tour to manage” compared to other tours by superstars. “No other artist has ever spent that much money for security, her own and the security in venues in European history, that is for sure,” they continued.
Travis Kelce plans to fly ‘back and forth’ from the US and Europe during her tour
Taylor Swift’s security likely also works hard to keep Travis Kelce discreet and safe as he arrives at various tour locations to watch her. A source told Us Weekly that Kelce plans on traveling to Europe to support Swift for her European leg of “The Eras Tour.”
“He wants to support her as much as he can while he can, so he’s going to [go] back and forth from the U.S. to Europe while he has the time,” the source noted, including the fact that the couple has had a “wonderful time in Europe so far.”
However, Kelce can only spend the summer going back and forth from Europe. The Kansas City Chiefs have their first game of the 2024-2025 NFL season on Sept. 5, 2024.
The couple reportedly looked at multimillion-dollar properties in Italy and Portugal
The source who spoke to Us Weekly about Travis Kelce traveling to Europe to see Taylor Swift stated that the couple loves home decor shopping. “They love going antique shopping, and she’s been helping him pick out some things for his new house in Kansas,” the insider noted. While Swift and Kelce don’t own a home together just yet, they were reportedly looking at places in Italy and Portugal.
A source told The Sun that Kelce and Swift were looking at homes in Lake Como priced between $1.7 million and $7.5 million. Before that, the couple was looking at properties near Lisbon that were priced up to $10 million.
We don’t know whether Kelce and Swift have concrete plans to expand their real estate portfolio, as they aren’t even engaged. However, it seems fans should expect them to make this move shortly.
